/usr/src/sys/i386/conf 의 LINT를 보시면 다음과 같은 부분이 있습니다. # MAXMEM specifies the amount of RAM on the machine; if this is not # specified, FreeBSD will first read the amount of memory from the CMOS # RAM, so the amount of memory will initially be limited to 64MB or 16MB # depending on the BIOS. If the BIOS reports 64MB, a memory probe will # then attempt to detect the installed amount of RAM. If this probe # fails to detect >64MB RAM you will have to use the MAXMEM option. # The amount is in kilobytes, so for a machine with 128MB of RAM, it would # be 131072 (128 * 1024). options "MAXMEM=(512*1024)" 를 커널 컨피그에 넣고 다시 컴파일하세요.. 그리고 접속량이 많은 웹 서버일 경우 FreeBSD의 synchronous filesystem으로 인해서 좀 느린감이 없지않아 있습니다. 그만큼 크래쉬 시에 안정적이기야 하지만요.. 별로 중요하지 않은 데이타(apache log등)가 쉴새없이 계속 기록되는 부분의 슬라이스를 따로 나누어서 그 부분만 soft-update 를 켜주면 좀 도움이 됩니다. 뭐 soft-update 쓰다가 fs 날렸다는 예는 아직 못 봤습니다만 그래도 모든 슬라이스에 softupdate를 사용하기는 좀 그렇죠. ----- Original Message ----- From: "lee jusang" <jslee21@hotmail.com> To: <questions@kr.FreeBSD.ORG> Sent: Tuesday, November 02, 1999 3:09 AM Subject: [추가정보] 죄송합니다 너무 몰라서... > 다름이 아니라 너무 이해가 안가는 군요. 64Mb 메모리의 레드헷 서버는 맥스 클라이언트를 200까지 설정해서 > 사용해왔는데 그 부분의 일부분을 옮겨서 운영하려고 했는데...
