사용중인 OS의 버젼은 어떻게 되시나요? 아마 pnpinfo를 쓰신 걸로 보아서 FreeBSD3.x라고 추정되는데... 우선 사운드 카드를 인식시킬려면 커널 컴파일을 하셔야 하는 것은 아시죠? 커널 컴파일을 하실려면 먼저, #/stand/sysinstall 했을때 Distrubution항목에서 src 밑에 커널 소스 먼저 설치를 하셔야 합니다. 그러면, /usr/src/sys/i386/conf 밑에 LINT라는 파일을 볼 수 있는데 이를 참조하시면 쉽습니다. 아래의 내용은 FreeBSD 4.0의 LINT 파일이구요. 참고로 저는 FreeBSD4.0에서 ESS1370을 씁니다. ESS 계열은 sound scape라는 사운드 카드가 있는 것 같은데 이를 제외하고는 모두 pcm 드라이버를 쓰면 될 것 같습니다. 참고로 사운드카드 지원은 snd 드라이버와 pcm드라이버, 그리고, 4.0에서 새롭게 추가된 드라이버가 있습니다. 저는 pcm드라이버로 했습니다.
