helvis에� 한글 입력

안녕하세요. FreeBSD 초보입니다.
FreeBSD 4.7에� ko-helvis깔았는데...
helvis를 실행하면 한글 입력이 안됩니다.
helvis를 실행하기 전에는 한텀을 통해� 입력이 잘 되는데
실행하고 나� 한글을 입력할려고 하면 '한글'이 'GQ1['과
같이 이상하게 나옵니다.
뭘 고쳐야 하는건지...
